Prabowo welcomes Modi at Merdeka Palace for 3-day visit
The two sides are also set for a one-on-one meeting, bilateral talks and signing MoUs on health, space and pharmaceuticals.
President Prabowo Subianto welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (7/7), on the second day of Modi's state visit to Indonesia. Modi's entourage arrived at about 10:22 WIB and was escorted to the palace complex by 120 mounted troops and 17 motorized troops. The welcoming ceremony featured 21 cannon salutes, an honor guard inspection and 1,300 students waving the flags of Indonesia and India. After that, Prabowo and Modi are scheduled to hold a one-on-one meeting, followed by bilateral talks with both delegations. The official agenda will conclude with a state banquet at Istana Negara. During the three-day visit, Indonesia and India are also scheduled to sign several memorandums of understanding in health, space and pharmaceuticals.
