Prabowo mourns Thailand's Princess before meeting Anutin
The Merdeka Palace meeting also produced the Indonesia-Thailand Strategic Partnership Roadmap for 2026–2030.
President Prabowo Subianto offered condolences over the death of Thailand's Princess Bajrakitiyabha when he received Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday. Prabowo said the mourning was extended to the royal family and the people of Thailand. The eldest daughter of King Maha Vajiralongkorn died in June 2026 after about three years in a coma, at age 47. In the same meeting, Prabowo also conveyed birthday greetings to the King of Thailand and congratulated Anutin on his appointment as prime minister. The visit was Anutin's first state trip to Indonesia and ended with the adoption of the Indonesia-Thailand Strategic Partnership Roadmap for 2026–2030.
