Prabowo inaugurates 5 dams worth Rp9.79 trillion from NTB
The five dams are targeted to irrigate 39,540 hectares and support up to 1 million tons in added rice output.
President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated five dams simultaneously on Friday, July 10, 2026, with the main ceremony at Meninting Dam in West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The five projects, worth about Rp9.79 trillion, comprise Meninting Dam in NTB, Keureuto and Rukoh in Aceh, Jlantah in Central Java, and Sidan in Bali. The government expects the dams to support rice production of up to 1 million tons. The Ministry of Public Works said the five dams are designed to serve irrigation for about 39,540 hectares of land through a 279.98-kilometer network. The network now operating serves about 15,241 hectares, while additional infrastructure for 24,299 hectares is still to be built.
