Prabowo opens public voting for 81st Indonesian Independence logo
The government is letting people choose 1 of 5 final designs through June 28 on the official website after a curated national contest.
President Prabowo Subianto has asked that the selection of the official logo for the 81st anniversary of Indonesian independence involve the public. The government opened public voting from June 24 to June 28, 2026, through the official 81st RI Independence Day logo website, with five final designs chosen from 124 entries in a competition curated by the Ministry of Creative Economy and the Indonesian Graphic Designers Association. Deputy State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro said the move gives residents room to take part in determining the visual identity of the August 17, 2026 celebration. The five finalists are from David Wirawan P, Fajar Novario, Kanda Putra, Rizkiawan and Tiffany Djohan, each bringing a different concept tied to the theme “Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil, dan Makmur.”
