Polri returns 3 China fugitives, receives 1 WNI fugitive from Beijing
WNI suspect KT was handed over to Bareskrim after arriving at Soekarno-Hatta on July 13 evening.
Polri, through NCB Interpol Indonesia, returned three fugitives who are Chinese nationals and received one WNI fugitive from Chinese authorities in a fugitive-exchange arrangement. The three China fugitives are Zheng Rongjing, LZ and HZ. Zheng and LZ arrived at Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou on July 10, while HZ followed a day later. Zheng is an Interpol Beijing fugitive suspected of involvement in an international online fraud syndicate and was said to have operated in one of the large fraud compounds in Cambodia. In return, China handed over Kariatun Tan, a fugitive in a suspected fraud or embezzlement case linked to shares in the construction of a smelter in the IUP area of PT Bososi Pratama, Sulawesi Tenggara. KT arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on July 13 evening and was then handed to investigators from Bareskrim Polri.
