Polresta Mataram Arrests Suspected Killer of NDR Student in Gomong
Police identified the suspect as HP, 18, and seized the victim's modified motorcycle during the arrest.
Polresta Mataram has arrested the suspected killer of student NDR, who was found dead under suspicious circumstances in her boarding-room in the Gomong area of Mataram City. Head of the Polresta Mataram criminal investigation unit, I Made Dharma Yulia Putra, said the suspect was arrested on Wednesday (29/7) at around 18.00 Wita in Punia Village together with the victim's motorcycle, which had been modified. In the initial examination, the suspect, identified as HP, 18, entered through an unlocked back door to take the vehicle key. When the victim woke up and screamed, the suspect panicked, pushed her onto the bed and smothered her with a pillow. Police are also investigating HP's possible involvement in two other stabbings in Mataram, one of them in front of the TVRI office.
