Police investigate 6 debt collectors blocking rider in Rawamangun
The rider said he was followed from Jalan Pemuda to Puskesmas Rawamangun before the confrontation escalated with his parents.
Polres Metro Jakarta Timur is investigating allegations that six debt collectors intimidated a motorcyclist identified as HF, 24, in Rawamangun, Pulogadung, East Jakarta. The incident, which was captured in video circulating on social media, took place on Thursday, June 18, at about 12:30 p.m. on Jalan Pemuda Asli IV. According to AKP Made Budi, the victim said he was followed from Jalan Pemuda to Puskesmas Rawamangun, then turned back toward home. As he passed Jalan Kayu Jati Raya, six people stopped him and questioned the motorcycle's license plate, saying it did not match the type of vehicle. HF then asked that the matter be discussed with his parents. When he arrived at his parents' workplace on Jalan Pemuda Asli IV, an argument broke out before the group left. Police said the victim's motorcycle was not taken.
