Police take 3 de'Clan staff after seizing Rp67.2 billion in Cipete
The haul included SGD3.13 million, US$889,965 and rupiah, while investigators also took documents and electronic devices.
Investigators from Polda Metro Jaya and Kortastipidkor Polri took three employees of de'Clan Signature cafe for questioning after searches at de'Clan and Koin Money Changer in Cipete, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (8/7). During the operation, police seized a total of about Rp67.2 billion, made up of rupiah, U.S. dollars and Singapore dollars. Irjen Totok Suharyanto said de'Clan alone accounted for SGD3.13 million, US$889,965 and Rp259.159 million, with a conversion value of nearly Rp60 billion. From the money changer, investigators secured 71 pieces of evidence, 16 types of foreign currency, worth about Rp7.2 billion. Police also seized documents and electronic items. The searches were part of a joint investigation into three cases: alleged corruption in PLN coal governance, the Asabri-Jiwasraya case for the 2020-2025 period, and alleged corruption in the settlement of PT CBS debt to PT KNI.
