Police report filed after man threatens Singapore bus driver

What's new: The confrontation lasted about two minutes on Service 136, and the operator is reviewing CCTV footage.

A man allegedly verbally abused and threatened a Go-Ahead Singapore bus driver while the vehicle was in motion on Service 136 in Ang Mo Kio, prompting a police report. The Nov. 4 incident happened along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 after the passenger became upset that the driver did not open the doors immediately. Go-Ahead said the driver had signaled for him to wait because the bus was entering the bay and a concrete barrier made opening the doors unsafe. Video posted online showed the man confronting the driver and raising a fist. The National Transport Workers’ Union said it contacted the driver, a union member, and is working with the operator to provide support, including legal help if needed.
