Police: Depok Dismemberment Planned to Steal Victim's Motorbike
Investigators say the suspect sought to seize the victim's motorbike and belongings; the knife and two legs are still missing.
Polda Metro Jaya said the murder and dismemberment of Kunaefi, 51, in Depok was allegedly planned to seize the victim's motorbike and belongings. Suspect SA, alias Saepullah, has been named in a case involving premeditated murder and murder. Police are also still searching for the knife allegedly used to stab the victim in the stomach and slit his throat, as well as two pieces of the victim's legs that have not been found. Investigators are examining a suspected same-sex relationship between the suspect and the victim after questioning witnesses and checking the suspect's mobile phone, which was said to be linked to a gay community. Police have not concluded that allegation was the motive. The victim and the suspect were known to have met through social media before meeting at a rented house in Cipayung on 23 Juli 2026.
