Police arrest debt collector who forced way into car in Cengkareng
E faces Articles 335 and 351 of the Criminal Code, while the victim's complaint continues to be processed by police.
Police arrested a debt collector identified as E after he was accused of forcing his way into a motorist's car and threatening the victim on Jalan Lingkar Luar Barat, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. Jakarta West Metro Police Chief Nasriadi said the incident occurred on Friday, 21 August, around 17:30 WIB, when E accused the driver of being three months behind on payments and entered the vehicle to demand that the driver stop or go to his office. Frightened, the victim reported the case to Cengkareng Police. Police arrested E on Saturday, 22 August, after tracing his identity to the office where he worked in Cengkareng. Police also said an argument outside Cengkareng Police that had gone viral involved the complainant's family and the reported party's associates, not a large clash. The case remains under investigation, and E has been charged under Article 335 and Article 351 of the Criminal Code.
