Polda Metro Jaya Arrests Suspect in Tangerang Murder, Rape
Investigators are still developing the case and probing the suspect’s motive after the arrest, made in less than 24 hours.
Polda Metro Jaya has arrested a man identified as KF, who is suspected of killing and raping a woman identified as SNA at a rental house in Kecamatan Benda, Kota Tangerang. Police said the suspect was detained in less than 24 hours after the incident. Abdul Rahim, head of the Jatanras subdirectorate of the criminal investigation unit at Polda Metro Jaya, said investigators are intensively questioning the suspect to gather evidence, reconstruct the sequence of events and determine the motive. SNA’s body had previously been found at the rental house. Information gathered by CNN Indonesia showed the victim’s body was first discovered by her boyfriend, and the case was then reported to Polsek Benda by the property owner.
