PNM prepares 8% Mekaar rate, set for September 2026

Finance Ministry and PNM are drafting rules, linking SIKP host-to-host, and lining up state-bank liquidity to launch the plan.

PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) is preparing to implement a cut in Mekaar financing rates to around 8 percent, targeted to take effect in early September 2026. The preparations are being carried out with relevant ministries and agencies so the cheaper financing scheme can be applied to the right targets. The Finance Ministry and PNM are now drafting a Finance Minister regulation and the Sistem Informasi Kredit Program (SIKP), connected through a host to host mechanism. At the same time, PNM is drawing up a financing cooperation agreement with the Kementerian UMKM and seeking liquidity support from state-owned banks coordinated by Danantara. PNM President Director Kindaris said the move is intended to give ultra-micro entrepreneurs more affordable access to capital while continuing to support them through empowerment and financial literacy programs.
