PNM launches Lansiapreneur program at Depok nursing home

Nilapia harvests are planned for off-takers, while eggs will be used to meet the home's daily needs.

PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) launched the Lansiapreneur program at Panti Werdha Muslim Rumah Oma, Cilodong, Depok, on Thursday (22/10/2026), with chicken-egg and Nile tilapia farming activities for the home's residents. PNM prepared three ponds with capacity for 300 Nile tilapia and a coop holding 36 laying hens. The program is intended to keep the elderly active and involved in daily activities such as feeding the animals, caring for them and collecting eggs. PNM President Director Kindaris said the scheme is also expected to create economic value. The eggs will be used for the residents' consumption, while future Nile tilapia harvests are planned to be absorbed by off-takers to help cover Rumah Oma's operating costs. Pond management is also supported by the PNM Fish Care app to monitor fish growth and mortality rates.
