PNM: Each Rp1 in Mekaar generates Rp1.81 in impact
Biggest gains came from a 33.87 percent rise in business income, followed by a 36 percent increase in customers' ability.
PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) calculated that every Rp1 invested in the Membina Ekonomi Keluarga Sejahtera, or Mekaar, program generated Rp1.81 in benefits during 2022–2024. The Social Return on Investment calculation means the program's value in benefits reached 181 percent of the investment. The largest share of benefits came from a 33.87 percent increase in business income. PNM also recorded a 36 percent rise in customers' ability, with the sharpest gain in cognitive ability, including financial knowledge, borrowing and financial management, at 53.18 percent. Customer confidence also rose by more than 40 percent. PNM President Director Kindaris said Mekaar's impact did not stop at business, but also extended to social welfare, optimism and job creation.
