PLN replaces Darmawan Prasodjo, appoints Suroso Isnandar as CEO
Suroso will keep his project and new renewable energy role until PLN names a successor.
PT PLN (Persero) replaced Chief Executive Officer Darmawan Prasodjo with Suroso Isnandar at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on Wednesday night, October 14, held online. PLN commissioner Andi Arief confirmed the change and said the meeting was attended by board members, commissioners and the state-owned enterprise oversight body, including deputy head Tedi Bharata. For now, Suroso will continue to hold his previous post as Director of Project Management and New Renewable Energy until a replacement is named. Before being elevated to CEO, Suroso held a series of strategic roles at PLN, ranging from power generation and transmission management in Sulawesi to load dispatch for Java-Madura-Bali and the head office digital and information technology unit.
