Jambi companies deploy helicopter and trucks to fight wildfires
WKS brought a Muaro Jambi blaze under control in 2.5 hours, while PetroChina has responded 10 times to fires in two months.
Two companies in Jambi deployed personnel, vehicles and air support to help extinguish forest and land fires during the dry season. PT Wira Karya Sakti sent two Rapid Response Teams, the District 7 firefighting unit and a water bombing helicopter to put out a fire in Desa Sekumbung, Kecamatan Taman Rajo, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. The company said the fire at the site was brought under control in about 2.5 hours. Elsewhere, PetroChina International Jabung Ltd. dispatched a fire truck, vacuum truck and portable fire pump, along with teams from HSE, Security and Construction, to handle a fire near the pipeline route and the NEB Station facility in Pematang Lumut, Betara, Tanjung Jabung Barat. Over the past two months, PetroChina recorded 10 responses to karhutla in Tanjung Jabung Barat and Tanjung Jabung Timur.
