Pertamina trains 21 Local Heroes to run PLTS for energy self-reliant villages
In Sorong and Lombok Tengah, PLTS already powers clean water systems and VCO production, beyond electricity supply.
PT Pertamina (Persero) facilitated competency certification in the management of solar power plants for 21 "Local Hero" participants in the Desa Energi Berdikari program at Balkondes Wringin Putih, Borobudur, Magelang, Central Java, on Thursday (6/8). The program prepares residents to operate and maintain PLTS independently in their villages. One participant, Alfredo Nicholas Saputra Kolin from Kampung Posa, Klamono District, Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua, maintains a 3.3 kWp PLTS that supports a Solar Water Treatment system to supply clean water. In Tumpak Village, Lombok Tengah, Burhanudin manages a 6.6 kWp PLTS that powers a 5,500-watt Virgin Coconut Oil production machine for the Bina Lestari Forest Farmers Community Group.
