Pertamina Patra Niaga processes residents' waste in Dumai, Sorong, Makassar

The Kampung BERLIAN program in Makassar is said to cut 6.7 tons of waste a month and post a 1.50 SROI.

Pertamina Patra Niaga is running household waste and trash processing programs with residents in several operating areas, including Dumai, Kasim in Kabupaten Sorong, and Makassar. In Tanjung Palas village, Dumai, the Posyandu Sehati program exchanges used cooking oil for supplementary food for pregnant women and toddlers, while the Wirani Rejosari group turns organic waste into liquid organic fertilizer. In Kampung Malabam, Seget district, members of the Wahimu farmers group use food scraps and harvested vegetables as pig feed for the Kamisalun livestock group, then process the manure again into fertilizer. In Tamalabba village, Makassar, the Kampung BERLIAN program is said to reduce 6.7 tons of household waste a month, use 4 liters of used cooking oil, and save 4,380 kWh through solar energy.
