Pertagas begins gas-in at GISMR palm oil refinery in KEK Sei Mangkei
GISMR is targeted to enter full commercial operation in June 2026, with trial supply ranging from 209 to 1.330 MMBTU per day.
PT Pertagas Niaga has begun delivering natural gas for the gas-in process and commissioning of PT Guthrie International Sei Mangkei Refinery (GISMR) in the Sei Mangkei Special Economic Zone, North Sumatra. The stage is preparation before the palm oil processing and refining facility enters full commercial operation in June 2026. During commissioning, gas deliveries will range from 209 to 1.330 MMBTU per day to test plant utilities, especially boiler operations. GISMR adds to the industrial gas users in the area, after PT Pertagas Niaga previously supplied PT Evyap Sabun Indonesia with up to 3.800 MMBTUD. Pertagas said the energy support is intended to bolster operating efficiency, productivity and downstream industrial development in KEK Sei Mangkei.
