Persebaya win 2026 Piala Presiden after 6-5 over Persib

Persebaya Surabaya won the 2026 Piala Presiden after beating Persib Bandung 6-5 in a penalty shootout in the final at Stadion Kapten I Wayan Dipta, Gianyar, Bali, on Thursday night. The match ended 1-1 after 120 minutes. Ramadhan Sananta put Persebaya ahead in the 20th minute, and Patricio Martin Matricardi equalized four minutes later. In extra time, Persib lost Mariano Ezequiel Peralta, who was shown a red card after a foul on Francisco Israel Rivera. The shootout was tied 4-4 before Jose Walber and Gledson Paixao Da Silva sealed the title for Bajul Ijo. Persib finished runner-up, while Persija Jakarta took third place after a 3-1 win over Arema FC. The champion received Rp8 billion from a total prize pool of Rp18,5 billion.
