Perez Hilton taken to Miami hospital after self-harm livestream

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was taken to a Miami-area hospital after viewers reported he appeared to be harming himself during a TikTok livestream from his home. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office said deputies responded Tuesday to calls about a man "livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media" and later said the individual was safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue for medical treatment. Police said Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, was alone inside the home when deputies arrived. Officers initially spoke with family members and used de-escalation tactics while monitoring the situation. Hilton's representatives said they had not been able to contact him and asked for privacy.
