Pelindo and BNN educate 900 students in 4 cities
The program targets 9 schools near port operating areas, including SMA Negeri 18 Tanjung Priok.
PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), or Pelindo, is working with the National Narcotics Agency to run the “Sobat ANANDA BERSINAR: Merdeka Tanpa Narkoba” program for about 900 students at nine schools in Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan and Makassar. The activities target schools near port operating areas. In Jakarta, one session was held at SMA Negeri 18 Jakarta Utara in the Tanjung Priok area, which is in Pelindo’s ring 1 operating zone. Students received education on the dangers of drugs, risk factors for abuse and the importance of healthy friendships through outreach, discussions and a question-and-answer session with BNN speakers. The event at SMA Negeri 18 was also attended by Irwan Andy, head of BNN Kota Jakarta Utara, and representatives from the local education office’s District I unit.
