Papua provincial government holds free care and blood drive in Jayapura

The event at the Papua governor's office is part of the 2026 Apresiasi Pemerintah Daerah Berprestasi Regional Papua.

The Papua provincial government held free medical care and a blood drive at the Gedung Sasana Krida, Papua governor's office, in Jayapura, on Monday (22/6). Deputy Home Affairs Minister Akhmad Wiyagus attended and said bringing health services directly to residents was important to expand access and support early disease detection. According to Wiyagus, public health is the foundation of successful regional development at both the provincial and regency/city levels. He also highlighted blood donation as a humanitarian contribution that helps maintain blood supplies at hospitals. The event was part of a series of activities for Apresiasi Pemerintah Daerah Berprestasi 2026 Regional Papua.
