Pimpinan Pusat Pagar Nusa is working with Dewan Pengacara Nasional Indonesia to prepare scholarships for Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat for 2,000 cadres. The memorandum of understanding was signed at Gedung Pengurus Besar Nahdlatul Ulama in Jakarta on Friday, ahead of Hari Santri. PP Pagar Nusa Chairman Muchamad Nabil Haroen said stronger legal education is needed so cadres can assist people who face obstacles in knowledge, cost, or courage when fighting for their rights. DPN Indonesia President Faizal Hafied said the cadres' close ties to communities are an asset for expanding service in the legal field. Katib Syuriah PBNU KH Ahmad Sudrajat witnessed the signing and said he hopes more cadres can provide legal assistance.
