One-day WFH for ASN extended through end-September

Face-to-face public services, including permits, health, education and civil registry, must keep operating at full capacity.

The government has extended its one-day-a-week work-from-home policy for aparatur sipil negara through the end of September 2026. The policy, in place since April 1, will continue from August after the last two months of evaluation were judged to have produced positive results. Head of the Government Communications Agency Muhammad Qodari said the move is aimed at building a bureaucracy that is more modern, adaptable, agile and efficient, while also supporting energy savings. The government stressed that public services must not be disrupted. Units that serve the public directly, such as Mal Pelayanan Publik, health services, education, civil registry and licensing offices, will remain fully open on weekdays. ASN performance will still be measured through Sasaran Kinerja Pegawai, or SKP.
