Republican Rep. Max Miller will remain on the ballot in Ohio's 7th Congressional District after the deadline for the GOP to replace him passed. Under Ohio law, party officials had until Monday at 4 p.m. to choose a substitute, but they needed at least two days' notice to meet, meaning Miller would have had to withdraw by Saturday. He did not. Miller has faced growing pressure from fellow Ohio Republicans to end his campaign after his ex-wife, Emily Moreno, accused him of physically abusing her and their young daughter. Miller has denied the allegations. The House Ethics Committee opened an investigation last week, and he is set to face Democrat Brian Poindexter in November.
