OCBC outage disrupts app, internet banking and some PayNow payments

OCBC’s mobile app and internet banking services were disrupted Friday afternoon in Singapore, leaving some customers unable to log in, make payments or use PayNow. Downdetector showed reports rising from shortly after 12:15 p.m. and peaking at more than 750 around 1:10 p.m. Users on social media also reported problems with ATM withdrawals. A notice on the bank’s app warned customers they might have trouble accessing services and said work was under way to restore normal operations. OCBC shares were down 0.1% at S$29.01 in afternoon trading, according to The Business Times.
