Nottingham Forest break club record to sign Liam Delap

Forest have tied the 23-year-old striker through 2031 after his transfer fee was reported at 45 million pounds plus 5 million pounds in bonuses.

Nottingham Forest have signed England striker Liam Delap from Chelsea for a reported 45 million pounds sterling plus 5 million pounds in bonuses, making him the club's most expensive purchase. Forest have tied Delap to a five-year contract through 2031. Delap arrives after one season at Stamford Bridge, where he made 47 appearances and scored three goals in all competitions. Before joining Chelsea, he drew attention at Ipswich Town with 12 goals in 37 Premier League matches in the 2024/2025 season. The move surpasses Forest's previous spending record, set when they signed Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town for 37.5 million pounds in August 2025. At Forest, Delap will work under coach Oliver Glasner.
