Nick Reiner indicted in stabbing deaths of Rob, Michele Reiner

Nick Reiner, 32, pleaded not guilty Wednesday after a Los Angeles grand jury indicted him on two counts of murder in the December stabbing deaths of his parents, filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner. The indictment adds special-circumstance allegations of multiple murders and killing by means of lying in wait, along with an allegation that he used a knife. Prosecutors said the grand jury returned the indictment on July 20, allowing the case to bypass a preliminary hearing. Reiner remains jailed without bond and is due back in court Sept. 15. Rob Reiner, 78, and Michele Reiner, 70, were found dead in their Brentwood home on Dec. 14, 2025.
