New Indonesian Hajj Registrations Reach 203,452 Through May 2026
The figure equals 118.61% of the monthly target as managed Hajj funds rose to Rp181.731 trillion.
Indonesia's new Hajj registrations reached 203,452 through May 2026, exceeding BPKH's monthly operating target by 118.61%. Fadlul Imansyah, head of BPKH's executive board, presented the result at a hearing with Commission VIII of the DPR in Jakarta on Tuesday, as a sign that public interest in performing the Hajj remains strong. Along with the rise in registrations, managed Hajj funds reached Rp181,731 trillion. BPKH also recorded Rp4,934 trillion in benefit value, or 82.73% of the periodic target, with an investment return of 6.57%. In the 2026 RKAT, BPKH is targeting 459,341 new registrants and total managed funds of Rp204,287 trillion by year-end. Commission VIII asked BPKH to strengthen investment risk mitigation and review operating costs every three months.
