Nanik Deyang steps down as head of BGN after 45 days
The BGN chief post is vacant as officials reshuffle and review 28,000 SPPG units for the MBG program continues.
Nanik Sudaryati Deyang resigned as head of Badan Gizi Nasional on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, citing health reasons and heart treatment. The resignation was also confirmed by Special Presidential Assistant for Communications and Policy Dirgayuza Setiawan. Nanik had led BGN for about 45 days. During her brief tenure, she said she would continue overseeing the Free Nutritious Meals Program. According to the Istana camp, Nanik had reviewed nearly 28,000 Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi, classified 3,000 kitchens based on quality standards, and halted kitchen expansion in areas deemed saturated. Tempo reported that Deputy Agriculture Minister Sudaryono was being mentioned as a possible replacement, but there has been no official confirmation.
