Anwar Zahid's car hit by trailer truck in Bojonegoro
The Alphard was crushed front and rear, but Anwar Zahid escaped serious injury and continued to Banjarnegara for a sermon.
Preacher Anwar Zahid escaped unharmed after the Toyota Alphard he was riding in was hit by a trailer truck on Jalan Raya Padangan-Ngawi, Desa Prangi, Kecamatan Padangan, Kabupaten Bojonegoro, Jawa Timur, Monday night. The crash occurred when the car, driven by his student identified as A, stopped at a roadwork site in the Tinggang area to wait for traffic to be alternated through the lane closure. From behind, a trailer truck driven by WP struck the Alphard and pushed it into a truck in front of it. Ipda Septian, head of the traffic accident unit at Polres Bojonegoro, said the initial suspicion is that the trailer driver may have been drowsy. Anwar Zahid and his driver were taken to RSUD Padangan for medical checks and were declared safe. He then continued to Banjarnegara in a black Toyota Innova and still delivered a sermon in Desa Sijenggung, Kecamatan Banjarmangu.
