MK to rule on MBG budget challenge in APBN 2026 on July 30

The 55/PUU-XXIV/2026 hearing is set for 13.30 WIB, amid a dispute over the Rp223 trillion education allocation to BGN.

The Constitutional Court has scheduled its ruling on the legal challenge to the Makan Bergizi Gratis program for Thursday, July 30, 2026, starting at 13.30 WIB. Case No. 55/PUU-XXIV/2026 is testing Law No. 17 of 2025 on APBN 2026, specifically the placement of the MBG budget in the education allocation. The hearing schedule appears on the court docket and was confirmed by Constitutional Court spokesperson Enny Nurbaningsih. The petition was filed by Reza Sudrajat, with Imam Zanatul Haeri serving as the petitioner's witness. The challenge targets Article 22 paragraph (3) of the APBN 2026 law and its explanation. In earlier hearings, the petitioners objected to the allocation of Rp223 trillion out of a total education budget of more than Rp769 trillion for Badan Gizi Nasional. On the same day, the court also scheduled rulings in similar cases numbered 52 and 40.
