What's new: The company also plans a non-voting share dividend, with the new stock set to start trading in January.

Meta Platforms raised its 2026 capital spending outlook to $135 billion to $145 billion, deepening its push into artificial intelligence after third-quarter revenue and profit topped Wall Street estimates. The company said it would also distribute a new class of non-voting shares to existing investors through a stock dividend in what amounts to a two-for-one stock split. Meta expects the new shares to begin trading in January and said they could later be used for fundraising, employee pay and acquisitions. Third-quarter revenue rose 26% to $64.6 billion, above the $63.3 billion estimate, while earnings reached $3.83 a share versus expectations of $3.57. Shares rose more than 3% in after-hours trading.
