PANRB minister grants ASN leeway to escort children on first school day
Agencies may set WFA and flexible hours, provided public services and performance targets are not reduced.
Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widyantini asked government agencies to give work flexibility to ASN who want to escort their children on the first day of school. The request is set out in Ministry of PANRB Letter No. B/257/M.KT.02/2026, issued on Friday, 10 July 2026. The policy applies to ASN with children in PAUD, primary education and secondary education, based on PANRB Regulation No. 4 Tahun 2025. The flexibility includes working from the office, from home or from another location, as well as dynamic work-hour arrangements. Officials in charge of personnel are asked to adjust work schemes without disrupting the quality of governance and public services. The appeal is also linked to the Father Escorting Children on the First Day of School Movement from BKKBN.
