Crowd takes down Gibran photo during hearing at DPRD DIY
DPRD DIY said the move was spontaneous, the photo was put back after the hearing, and the demands will be carried through party factions.
A group of people from Forum Kebangsaan DIY took down a photo of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka during a hearing in the Budget Committee room at DPRD DIY in Yogyakarta on Wednesday (4/11). The action took place as participants pressed for Gibran's impeachment and urged an investigation into allegations surrounding the diploma of 7th President Joko Widodo. Deputy Speaker of DPRD DIY Imam Taufik said the removal of the photo was not initiated by the council, but was a spontaneous act by participants in the hearing. After the meeting ended, the photo of Gibran was put back up. DPRD DIY Commission A member Yuni Satia Rahayu said the body had no direct channel to forward the demands to DPR RI, so the public's aspirations would be conveyed through each member's party faction and political party.
