Marc Marquez wins MotoGP Malaysia, leads standings by 44 points

Marc Marquez won the 2026 MotoGP Malaysia main race at the Sepang International Circuit on Sunday after taking the lead immediately from the first corner. The Ducati Lenovo Team rider finished first in 40 minutes 14.236 seconds. Pedro Acosta of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing finished second, while Alex Marquez of Gresini Racing completed the podium in third. The result keeps Marc Marquez at the top of the provisional standings with 399 points. Republika reported that he leads Jorge Martin by 44 points with three rounds remaining this season. In the race, Acosta secured second place after overtaking Alex Marquez on lap 10 at Turn 9.
