Manokwari sends Rp550 million aid for Flores quake victims

The Manokwari regency government has distributed Rp550 million in aid to help residents affected by the magnitude 7,7 earthquake on Flores Island, Nusa Tenggara Timur. The aid was handed over in Manokwari on Friday night through Perkumpulan Rumah Besar Flobamora Papua Barat. Manokwari Regent Hermus Indou said the funding reflected solidarity and concern across regions for Flores residents hit by the disaster. He also said the regency government had coordinated with Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan Perwakilan Papua Barat on the budget allocation. Clinton Tallo, chairman of Perkumpulan Rumah Besar Flobamora Papua Barat, added that a fundraising drive in Manokwari had collected Rp250 million in one week.
