The 23-year-old signed a contract through 2031 after the agreement reached three weeks earlier was completed following the 2026 World Cup. Anderson arrives after playing regularly for Forest last season and helping England finish third at the World Cup. According to reports cited by ANTARA, the transfer briefly stood as the most expensive for an English player before Chelsea paid £117 million to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. Anderson said City appealed to him because of the club’s winning culture and its dominance over the past decade.
