Man City strike up to €100m deal for Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi

What's next: The 18-year-old was pulled from Lille's match against Angers and is set for a medical before the move is finalized.

Manchester City have reached an agreement with Lille to sign midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi in a deal worth €95 million plus €5 million in add-ons, according to multiple reports. The 18-year-old Morocco international was left out of Lille's Ligue 1 game against Angers on Sunday and is expected to complete a medical before the transfer is made official in the coming days. Bouaddi emerged as one of Morocco's standout players at this summer's World Cup, starting five of six matches in a run to the quarterfinals. He has made 88 appearances for Lille since debuting in October 2023, shortly after turning 16, and helped the club finish third in Ligue 1 last season.
