Liverpool enters talks on minority stake deal at $6 billion valuation
What's new: The prospective buyer is a consortium led by Amit Bhatia, who stepped down from QPR as talks advanced.
Liverpool owner Fenway Sports Group is in talks to sell a minority stake in the Premier League club to a consortium led by British-Indian businessman Amit Bhatia, in a deal that could value Liverpool at more than $6 billion, or about £4.5 billion. FSG confirmed the group had expressed interest in a strategic minority investment, though no agreement has been finalized. Bhatia resigned from Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday after nearly two decades as a director and co-owner. FSG bought Liverpool for £300 million in 2010 and has previously explored outside investment, including a 2023 minority stake sale to Dynasty that helped offset debt tied to stadium and training-ground projects.
