Lilawangsa Run 2026 in Lhokseumawe turns each finisher into a donation
New: each runner who finishes is converted into a Rp81.000 donation for repairs to house-of-worship facilities in Lhokseumawe.
BSN Lilawangsa Run 2026 in Lhokseumawe, Aceh, combines a road race with fundraising for houses of worship. Each participant who reaches the finish line is converted into a Rp81.000 donation, which will go toward upgrades to facilities and infrastructure for houses of worship in Kota Lhokseumawe. The event, held on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, drew about 2.000 runners from across Indonesia and overseas. The Rp81.000 amount was chosen as a symbol of the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The event also formed part of the series of celebrations marking independence in Lhokseumawe. Bank BSN Chief Executive Alex Sofjan Noor said the charity run concept was designed to make sports deliver social benefits, while Danrem 011/Lilawangsa Ali Imran said he hopes the event grows into an annual fixture.
