Leaking boat on Waduk Saguling leaves 27-year-old angler missing
SAR teams deployed 11 personnel and water rescue gear to search the reservoir after the victim remained missing.
An angler, Angga Permana (27), was reported missing after the jukung boat he was using was allegedly leaking and sank in Waduk Saguling, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat, on Friday morning. Angga, a resident of Desa Nanggerang, Kecamatan Cililin, left to fish before dawn. According to a witness named Edi, the victim's boat sank at about 05.00 WIB, but the witness could not help because he could not swim. Kantor SAR Bandung received the report at 13.00 WIB and sent 11 joint personnel at 13.15 WIB. The search operation involved Basarnas Bandung, BPBD Kabupaten Bandung Barat, and Desa Nanggerang officials, with support from one rescue vehicle, communication equipment, safety gear, and water rescue equipment. By the time the search began, the victim had not been found.
