KPK detains 3 bribery suspects in East Java grant case
Detention runs from 22 July-10 August 2026, while another suspect, Moch Mahrus, missed questioning.
KPK has detained three suspects accused of paying bribes in the alleged corruption case involving the handling of grant funds for community groups at the East Java Provincial Government for the 2019-2022 fiscal years. They are Achmad Yahya and M. Fathullah from Pasuruan and Ra Wahid Ruslan from Bangkalan. The detention is for the first 20 days, from 22 July to 10 August 2026, at the KPK Red and White Building branch detention center. On the same day, investigators also summoned Moch. Mahrus, a private individual from Probolinggo who is now a member of the 2024-2029 East Java DPRD, but he did not appear because of a scheduling conflict. KPK had previously said the case grew out of the December 2022 OTT involving Sahat Tua Simanjuntak and now includes 21 suspects divided into three bribery clusters.
