KPK questions Riau acting governor over seized cash
Investigators also probed allegations that the suspended governor received money, questioning an aide and other witnesses.
KPK questioned Riau Acting Governor Sofyan Franyata Hariyanto on 27 July 2026 as a witness to trace money found during searches of his private home and official residence in December 2025. The examination was part of a follow-up investigation into alleged extortion and graft in the Riau provincial government, including projects at the Dinas PUPR PKPP. On the same day, investigators also questioned the governor's aide Rafii over allegations that suspended Riau Governor Abdul Wahid received money. Several other witnesses, including Riau DPRD member Siti Aisyah and governor's aide Dahri Iskandar, did not appear. The case has already ensnared Abdul Wahid, Dani M. Nursalam, M. Arief Setiawan, and Abdul Wahid's aide, Marjani.
