KPK Questions Maktour Boss in Hajj Quota Corruption Case
Investigators are probing whether Fuad Hasan knew how the 2023-2024 additional hajj quota was split, distributed and filled.
KPK scheduled an examination of PT Makassar Toraja or Maktour owner Fuad Hasan Masyhur on Monday (15/6/2026) as a witness in the alleged corruption case involving the 2023-2024 additional hajj quota. The questioning was rescheduled after Fuad failed to appear on 2 June because he was carrying out a series of hajj rituals. Investigators are probing allegations that Fuad knew how the extra quota was managed from the allocation stage, through distribution, to its filling by private hajj organizers. In the case, KPK sees lobbying to raise the special hajj allocation beyond the 8 percent limit, with the additional 20.000-seat quota split 50:50 between regular and special hajj. KPK has processed four suspects: Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, Ishfah Abidal Aziz, Ismail Adham, and Asrul Azis Taba.
