KPK halts 6 corruption cases, including DPR secretary

Three cases were dropped after suspects died, while three others were ended after courts granted pretrial motions.

KPK has issued warrants to end investigations, known as SP3, in six alleged corruption cases, including the case involving DPR RI Secretary General Indra Iskandar. KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the probes were stopped for two reasons: the suspect died or the court granted a pretrial motion. He said the case against Indra Iskandar was dropped after his pretrial petition was granted because formal elements in the investigation were incomplete. SP3 was also issued for Deputy Law Minister Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej and his two assistants, Yosi Andika Mulyadi and Yogi Arie Rukmana, after they won their pretrial motions. Three other cases were halted because the suspects died: Kusnadi, Siman Bahar alias Bong Kin Phin, and Budhi Sarwono.
