KPK raids Bali visa services office again in residency case
Investigators seized documents and electronic evidence and are preparing witness summonses to verify the latest findings.
KPK on Tuesday (23/6) raided a visa services office in Bali again in an investigation into alleged extortion over WNA residence permits and gratuities at the Directorate General of Immigration in the 2022-2026 period. At the site, which is said to often handle immigration documents for the Bali area, investigators seized documents and electronic evidence. KPK said the findings will be extracted, reviewed and analyzed to strengthen the evidence before witnesses are summoned for confirmation. The search followed operations on 17-19 June at Kantor Imigrasi Kelas I TPI Denpasar, PT Visa Empat Bali and CV Visa Agung Bali Teratai Promanende. In the case, KPK has named eight suspects, including former Deputy Immigration Minister Silmy Karim, and seized assets worth about Rp17,5 miliar.
