KPK sends Immanuel Ebenezer to Sukamiskin in K3 graft case
Eleven convicts were immediately jailed after the ruling became final, including Noel, who got 4.5 years and Rp3,435 miliar in restitution.
On Wednesday (24/6), KPK sent former Manpower Deputy Minister Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan to Sukamiskin Class I Prison in Bandung, West Java, to serve a 4 years 6 months sentence in a case involving bribery, extortion and gratuities in the handling of occupational safety and health, or K3, certificates. KPK Labuksi Director Mungki Hadipratikto said the execution also covered 10 other convicts at around 11.00 WIB. KPK said the verdicts against the 11 people had become final because no further legal action was taken. In addition to prison time, Ebenezer must pay a Rp200 million fine, with a substitute sentence of 90 days in jail, and Rp3.435.000.000 in restitution, with a substitute sentence of 1 year in prison.
